There are only a few of us women in or (as in my case) affiliated with the Denver Seminary Philosophy department. As a result, several of us have begun meeting on a semi-regular basis to discuss issues of philosophy and other associated issues of our lives and interactions with others. Three of us–me, Susan, Nancy–are blogging regularly (you might remember Susan and Nancy from such comment threads as “More on Foundationalism,” and “Virtues and the End/Now (1) & (2)”). Check out their musings here and here. Read about what we’ve been up to here and here (although I was–sadly–absent for this one). I am grateful for these women, their friendship, and intellectual stimulation among true peers.
My sister, mom, and I had a garage sale this weekend. It was hot and a lot of work. You might read Josh’s observations about garage sales and find them humorous.
I am under a mountain of grading: students took their midterms and I had a set of papers come in this week. I know, I am the one that writes the course calendar. Nevertheless, I’m swamped. The blog, however, serves as more-than-adequate means of procrastination. You’ll see more from me sooner than later.
